Guzheng Artist Bei Bei Announces Two Moons: Lead Single and Title Track from Her Upcoming Album of Original East–West Fusion

Internationally acclaimed guzheng artist, emerging guqin performer, and composer Bei Bei returns with “Two Moons,” the luminous title track from her forthcoming full-length album — a visionary collaboration with London-based composer and producer Paul Elliott. Blending the 2,500-year-old tradition of Chinese string instruments with immersive, modern sound design, the single offers a breathtaking preview of an album that transcends time, culture, and genre.

Written during the 2024 Mid-Autumn Harvest Moon Festival, “Two Moons” embodies the tenderness of connection and the bittersweet ache of distance. As Bei Bei sat before her guzheng, inspired by Elliott’s ethereal production, emotions flowed freely into melody. Each note reflects the pull between earth and sky, past and present — a meditation on home, love, and lineage.
After completing the impromptu session, Bei Bei glanced through her kitchen window and witnessed a rare vision: a full moon glowing above and another reflected in the glass — two moons suspended in harmony. That photograph became the conceptual heart of the project, symbolizing unity across space and time.
Due out February 20, 2026 on digital and vinyl, Two Moons features seven original compositions co-written by Bei Bei and Paul Elliott. The album’s award-winning sound — honored with two Silver Medals at the Global Music Awards — merges organic lo-fi electronica with the resonant textures of the guzheng and guqin. Through this alchemy of past and future, Bei Bei and Elliott create a cinematic sonic landscape that reimagines the spirit of China in the modern world.
